Kai Kai is 4 months old!!!!

Today is Kaia's 4 month birthday!! To celebrate we went to her 4 month check up and she got some shots.....some celebration! We found out Kaia has really grown! She now weighs 13lbs 11oz which is just right for a 4 month old, and she's 26 inches tall (which is in the 95% for her age)!! We can't believe how the time is flying and how quickly she's growing. She loves to squeal, jabber and smile, and it reminds us how blessed we are to have her in our family. Here are a couple of recent pics... Daddy just finished getting her ready for church!

Happy Anniversary!!!

Chris and I celebrated another anniversary this past week :-)! We took Kaia and went to Little America in Salt Lake. We had such a wonderful time together, and it was so nice to have our little angel with us. We had fun hanging out at the beautiful hotel, going to dinner, going on a horse drawn carriage ride, and Kaia's favorite - taking nice long baths!! Kaia actually slept 12 hours for the first time that night!! She is such a good baby!

Happy New Year

We hung out with Chris' brother Dan and his wife Janell for new years eve. We had a fun time with them playing games, eating some good Indian food and hanging out. Kaia was able to hang until about 9:00...we made sure to go in and give her a little kiss to wish her a happy new year.

Cousin Jude is here!!!!!!!

Kaia's cousin was born!! My brother Nick and his wife Mandi had their handsome baby boy on December 23rd at 12:53 pm. He was 7 lbs. 14 oz. and was 20.5 inches in length. They named him Jude Kekoa - Mandi and Jude are both doing well. They are happy to have him home, and healthy! We are excited for this new addition to our family, and already love him so much!

Christmas in Colorado

This was Kaia's first Christmas, and though she's not old enough to open her presents by herself, or understand what was going on, it was fun for us to spoil her! We were able to spend the holiday with Chris family, who recently moved back from England. It was so much fun to have us all together. He has such a great family and they are so fun to be around! We had so much fun watching movies, hanging out, and playing ping pong until early the next day. I'm so blessed to have married into such a wonderful family!

This Christmas season I am so thankful for Kaia and the love and spirit she has brought into our home, and am so grateful for Chris, and all of his hard work. Because of him, I am able to stay home each day with Kaia and watch her learn and grow, it is such a blessing!

Daddy's back!

Chris went on a trip to fly a plane up to Canada for work. He left late Thursday night and got back on Sunday. Kaia and I missed him so much, but I was glad that I had Kaia to keep me company at home. She's such a sweet baby!
I know Kaia missed her dad so much, and I know he missed her to. It was pretty obvious, because shortly after he got home, they were back to their usually business together.....SLEEPING.

SHOTS!!

We took Kaia to the Doctor today for her routine check up (She's 10 weeks today). She has grown quite a bit, she weighs 11 lbs and 7.5 oz, and she's 22.5 inches in length. She was fussy as soon as we got to the Dr's office which isn't like Kaia, she must have known that she would be getting a couple of shots. Poor girl cried and cried, it broke my heart. Luckily Chris was there to help hold her, and I just watched, that's no fun. We are now home and she's sound asleep. Though she doesn't always enjoy the visits, it's fun for us as parents to go and see our little girls progress. She's very strong and healthy and grows so fast!!! We lover her so much and are so grateful she is ours.
